Remind yourself of what really matters

Recently I came across the book The Top Five Regrets of the Dying again. Difficult topic, specially for the nurse, working with dying people for several years. Nevertheless she was capable to learn from their wisdom and pass it on to people who still have the time and power to avoid the most common regrets and step a step closer to inner peace.

Here is the list of most common regrets as observed by Bronnie Ware.

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.
3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
