You know the option Facebook provides us with, beside all other almost abnormal amount of ways to »keep in touch« with people? I have terrible issues with this function. Specially when it is one of rare ones that can't be turned off, it's there and that's it.
The main problem is, I can't see any point in poking people, or likewise being poked. I find poking annoying already in the offline world, and I find it really annoying in the online one. The only decent reason I can imagine for poking people is to remind them of your existence. But guess what! If I know you, I most probably am aware of the fact, and if I don't, I most probably don't give a fuck, so don't bother.
What happened with good old (school) messaging, don't we have really nothing to say to eachother anymore?
